Chris Kelly has been among the pre-eminent Plaintiff-side injury lawyers in the Upper Ottawa Valley for decades. So much so that outside firms have simply not been able to establish a foothold in the Renfrew County region. An outside firm finally got wise. Bergeron Clifford Injury Lawyers is proud to announce that they are outsiders no more. As of September 1, 2023, it will begin working with Chris Kelly to become the successor firm to his extensive injury litigation practice.
Some things will remain the same. The transfer of the Kelly & Kelly injury practice is premised upon the continuation of the same personal approach to injury litigation. To that end, the core of the dedicated Kelly & Kelly injury litigation staff will join Bergeron Clifford’s injury litigation team effective immediately. Robert Murphy and Danielle Howatson will join Erin Briscoe as Bergeron Clifford’s on-site staff.
The injury practice will continue to operate out of the Kelly & Kelly building. It will join Bergeron Clifford’s other offices in Kingston, Ottawa, Perth, and Carleton Place.
Bergeron Clifford has been consistently recognized as one of the Top 10 Personal Injury Law Firms in Ontario, by Canadian Lawyer Magazine. This accolade speaks to their unwavering commitment to excellence in serving communities in Eastern Ontario.
Bergeron Clifford is excited to be returning to its roots in the Valley. Founding partner of the firm, Ted Bergeron grew up on a farm just west of Cobden and suffered several humiliating setbacks playing minor hockey against various Muskrat Lake Minor Hockey League teams including one that played home games on the outdoor rink at Shady Nook. Founding partner Chris Clifford, who spent time playing professional hockey suffered no such Renfrew County humiliation. Instead, he found a Renfrew girl to be his bride.
Robert Murphy and Danielle Howatson, Ted, Chris, and the balance of the team at Bergeron Clifford Injury Lawyers feel honoured to play a role in continuing Chris Kelly’s legacy of litigation excellence. Together, we remain steadfast in our mission to support those injured and their families in Renfrew County and the valley.
We’re excited about this new chapter and the enhanced services we can provide and look forward to your continued trust and support.
