Lisa Balonick

Lisa hails from Southern California where she spent more than 25 years in the legal field assisting in heavy litigation cases, which included environmental superfund sites and labour and employment law. After working as an assistant for a number of years, Lisa obtained her paralegal certificate with honours from the University of Southern California, Irvine in 1994.

Upon moving to Canada in 2004, Lisa became involved in the tourism/hospitality industry while keeping her skills sharpened by volunteering and/or with a local Chamber of Commerce, the Children’s Aid Society, in addition to municipal, provincial and federal political elections.

Lisa joined our firm as a trial assistant on a temporary engagement in January 2016 to help prepare a major injury case for trial. Upon conclusion of that case, Lisa transitioned into permanent employment as a Trial Clerk with a focus on some of our more complex cases.

In her free time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, travelling and restoring old homes.
